就職活動をするにあたって、学校ではデザイナー事務所とか縫製工場とか表面的に説明を受けるばかりで、実際にこうして行ってみないとわかりませんし、自分に合っているかどうかも判断できません。

僕は縫製の作業が好きなのですが、一日中縫製作業をすることが自分にもできるのか試してみたいと思い、2週間のインターンシップに申し込みました。

初めて現場に入ってみて、最初は同じことを繰り返すというのは、緊張もしていたし慣れなかったのですが、社員の皆さんが優しくフレンドリーで、 休憩の間に話しかけてくださったり、 仕事のフォローをしてくださったりするので、とても安心感がありました。
始めたばかりなので、まだ工場のミシンを使ったことがなく、縫製の醍醐味までは正直わからないのですが、どうやって動かせば良いのかは 2週間でやっとつかめたかなという感じです。

2週間と言わず、1ヶ月ぐらいいたいですね（笑）

When I was looking for a job, I was only given superficial explanations about designer offices and sewing factories at school, but I would not know until I actually went there like this and could not decide whether it was right for me or not.

I like sewing work, but I wanted to see if I could do sewing work all day long, so I applied for a 2-week internship.

When I first entered the site for the first time, I was nervous and unfamiliar with the idea of repeating the same thing over and over again at first, but all the employees were kind and friendly, talking to me during breaks and following up on my work.
Since I just started, I have yet to use a sewing machine in the factory, and to be honest, I don’t know what the best part of sewing is, but I think I finally got a grasp of how to move the machine after two weeks.

I would like to stay here for a month, not two weeks (laughs).
